"Kicking off our Paw to Paw fundraiser!"
I am kicking off my annual Paw to Paw Challenge to raise much needed funds for Badass Animal Rescue! On average, it takes $750 to get one of our Badass dogs ready for adoption - my goal is to raise enough funds to save 2 more amazing dogs like my Rusty and Ellie.
Why Badass?
Badass Animal Rescue is a 501(c)3 nonprofit network of rescuers, fosters and volunteers who work together to rescue, rehabilitate, and find homes for adoptable dogs from animal shelters in the southern United States and the US Virgin Islands.
What makes us different? Staying true to our name, we rescue the hard to adopt dogs - the dogs who just need a little more time, effort and money to get them ready for adoption. We have saved over 3,600 underdogs in our 13 years, including my two rescues who would not be alive if Badass had not pulled them from Georgia in 2014 and 2017.
What’s the impact of your donation?
This year I am raising funds for the Senior Dog Fund. It ensures senior dogs enjoy their golden years with comfort and dignity. Contributions help with their specialized care, from chronic health management to end-of-life comfort. These are the average costs that we could incur when we take in seniors:
- Dental care: $1,200-$2,000
- Mass removal surgery: $800-$1,800
- X-rays: $150-$400
- Emergency Visits: $2,000 - $6,000
- Major Surgeries: $3,500 - $7,000
- Hospitalization: $5,000 - $10,000
